On May 17th, 2008 I was officially declared an engineer by Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I’m still not entirely sure they meant to give me the degree.
On June 10, 2011 I ran my first official 5k.
I’ve been running and engineering on and off ever since.
I love good writing and bad jokes. I think Aaron Sorkin and Mel Brooks are geniuses. I get all my news from twitter. I hate mean people and grape popsicles. I have no use for the meanies but I’ll eat a grape popsicle if I’m desperate. I’m close to my family and have managed to surround myself with friends who are close to theirs. I think baseball is the greatest sport (Go SOX!) followed closely by tennis. I would live in flip flops and sunglasses year round if I could but then I couldn’t enjoy the seasons so it’s a small sacrifice. I’m a native of Massachusetts and have recently landed myself inside Boston city limits. I laugh at the jokes in Two Weeks Notice before they happen and know that there was more than one lobster present at the birth of Jesus. I haven’t been presented with a situation yet that couldn’t be summed up with a West Wing .gif. I dream of someday visiting every major league ball park and have the ice cream helmet to prove it.
I run. I spectate. I make sure to laugh every day. Welcome to rungineered. Where I let my runnerd flag fly and the points don’t matter.
